Aiming to be the most influential Italy blockchain event

Milan, Italy, June 22, 2022 — Crypto Expo Milano (CEM), an international conference dedicated to professionals in the blockchain and crypto industry, has announced its first edition from Thursday, June 23 to Sunday, June 26.

CEM is striving to become one of the largest blockchain and crypto conferences in Europe and expects more than 2,000 attendees with the top influencers in the Italian crypto market. It officially commences on Thursday, June 23, with day-long educational workshops at Studio 90 near Milan Linate Airport and its hotels and shuttle services.

The roster of headline speakers includes blockchain and crypto experts, opinion leaders, influencers and executives of noteworthy Italy-based and blockchain companies. Keynotes, panels, conferences, workshops, networking, crypto-community mingling, parties and a gala dinner are scheduled. CEM is aiming to spur blockchain and crypto adoption, helping educate and onboard newcomers to the space.

Valeria Pagano, co-founder of Crypto Expo Milano, said, “I am pleased to announce that CEM will be the first-ever crypto and blockchain event organized in Milan and one of the very few in Italy. As a common meeting place for industry leaders, we will help re-design the future of the economy and finance with the help of blockchain technology.”

CEM 2022 takes place at Studio 90 and brings together creators, regulators, influencers, professionals, investors and leaders in the blockchain and crypto industry from Italy and worldwide.

Florin Simovici, co-founder and chief operating officer of CEM, said, “In my opinion, blockchain is the biggest game-changer technology [since] the invention of the internet. We are ready to [meet] crypto enthusiasts and prominent global figures to deeply discuss the key facts shaping the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry as the market continues to grow with the speed of light.

“Blockchain technology is not just coming, it is already here. Take a look around you[:] Governments around the world are already adopting it[,] and events [such as] CEM will accelerate the growth of blockchain and digital assets in Italy and around the world. We hope to empower attendees to stay ahead of this fast-moving ecosystem and be updated on new[,] emerging projects that can change business and society as we know it.”

International speakers from the technology, business and finance sectors will go on stage to discuss decentralized finance, the metaverse and emerging new models such as decentralized autonomous organizations.

Cristian Orto, co-founder of CEM and co-founder and chief technology officer of a main sponsor, Theca Project, said, “The Theca family is honored to be a part of CEM [20]22. The shift from Web2 to Web3 is happening, and events like CEM are going to facilitate those in-person connections essential for spreading knowledge and facilitating global adoption.”

Marius Bodea, co-investor of CEM, said, “It all started with an idea. [A] few years ago, a person invented this innovative technology with the aim of creating a payment system that eliminates middlemen. This person wrote a white paper, then the code for a software that solved this problem in a real and definitive way. From that day until today that technology has evolved in an unimaginable way. Just think of smart contracts, nonfungible tokens, decentralized apps [and more]. Who knows what the future [will be]? Imagination is the limit, in my opinion, and like my colleagues, I strongly believe in blockchain technology and the added value it can bring to people.”

CEM founders Pagano, Orto, Simovici and Bodea are available for interviews.
